House under construction.
Esteban and Romina, a couple looking for a spacious home that would suit the needs of each family member, turned to Emilio and Trinidad without a clear idea of the design. With a long, narrow lot, the challenge sparked the creativity to design and plan the construction in two stages. The first consisted of the ground floor, which would house two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living area integrated with the kitchen. The second stage would allow for a flexible expansion of the living space, removing the bedrooms and placing them on the upper level, along with another bathroom and adding a bedroom suite with bathroom and dressing room, with a balcony from which the beautiful back garden could be appreciated.
The layout of the house revolved around a charming internal courtyard, which established a visual connection with the backyard and brought abundant lighting to the ground floor, as well as allowing for cross ventilation in the kitchen. A jasmine was planted in the courtyard, whose flowers beautify the spring, while in winter it loses its leaves, allowing the sun to shine through. This patio not only provides natural lighting for the staircase and the hallway to the upstairs bedrooms, but also fills the spaces with its nature and delicate scent.
With their ingenious design and attention to detail, Emilio and Trinidad were able to turn this challenging lot into a cozy and functional home that suits the needs of Esteban and Romina's family. The result is a home that combines aesthetic beauty and connection to nature, providing a warm and harmonious refuge for its residents.
